PORTFOLIO OF MAIN ACTIVITIES
In our Furlab Ateliers, you find an extensive collection of furs and new working techniques. It is the place where we work on sample collections for our fashion partners and organise workshops. It is the creative heart of our organisation where a team of designers and furriers cooperate with our fashion partners on innovation and the furs of the future.
We organise workshops on different levels for fashion students, academies, designers, design houses, fashion brands and retail staff. Workshops are organised either in one of our FURlab Ateliers or on location. We offer standard modules and tailor-made workshops.
In the Furlab Showroom, we showcase many of the outfits that were created in cooperation with our fashion partners. It is a great source of inspiration for fashion stylists from magazines, TV shows and TV and film personalities. Outfits will be lent out to interested stylists that want to use them in their work.
Young designer stimulation program
As fur can be a precious material especially for young designers, they can reach out to the ‘young designer stimulation program’. Designers can apply for a subsidy to make it possible to realize their fur project.
Every day, more and more fur is sold through fashion retailers, besides the specialized fur shop. FURlab operates a special helpdesk where owners of fashion shops can inform themselves about the origin of furs, so they can educate their staff and consumers.
FURlab PR is the centre of Furlab’s communications work. Here we manage our social and traditional media campaigns. We organise special events like fashion shows, fashion seminars, press trips and visits to fur farms. Our PR policy stands for credibility and openness, and we seek a constructive dialogue with the media, the fashion world and consumers.
